Life is a journey of ups and downs. You will meet several types of people, some will be your friends and others will just pretend. I know someone out there can understand what am writing about. There are people around you who have hidden agendas and they hate to see you succeed. Some of them might be from your family or workplace. What is an agenda? It is a hidden plan that is not in your interest.
But how do you know them? There are several models you use to test them and you will know them. You can have a hypothesis. You need to ask questions and investigate to get answers. I have two models and theories to use on these:
Jesus Christ had a group of 12 followers. One day, he sat down with them and asked them a question: Do you love me? He asked each of them the same question, 12 times. At the end of the session, he told one of them, you will be the one who will betray me. Asking closed ended questions is a sure way to find people with hidden agenda. What is the meaning of betraying? To betraying means:
Betrayal is the breaking or violation of a presumptive contract, trust, or confidence that produces moral and psychological conflict within a relationship amongst individuals, between organizations or between individuals and organizations. Often betrayal is the act of supporting a rival group, or it is a complete break from previously decided upon or presumed norms by one party from the others. Someone who betrays others is commonly called a traitor or betrayer. People with hidden agenda are traitors. People who hate you have no need to be closer to you. You should stay away from them.
Joseph Model/ Theory
Joseph was a son of Jacob. He had twelve brothers and two sisters. He got a dream about his future responsibility. He was to feed his parents and brothers. He was 17 years old, and in excitement, he told the family about his dream. When the people heard about the dream, the hated him. And the story says, the plotted to kill him. So his brothers called him a dreamer. When I think about this story, I think Joseph must have seen how their faces turned “red” when he said he has a dream. If you want to discover who hates you, you need to test their reaction about your dream. If they approve it, then they are on your side but if they have a negative reaction, then you need to know they are against you. Those two models are the tests you must apply to know people with hidden motives and agenda.
Another story is about Nehemiah when he was building the wall of Jerusalem. There three guys who hated him and what he was doing. Two of them were known as Tobias and Sanballat. They kept of sending messages to meet Nehemiah. But he never agreed to meet them. Always never join people who have requests to meet you. I learned from this and i have experiences where I had to avoid some people.
If you need help and strategies for improving your life, you need to learn from those who have scars. I have seen this things and that is why I speak about them to help people.
Hope you are blessed, by this sound ideas and principles. If you learn this principles, you will be wise and preserve your life. Please, reach me out when you need help.
